Bayou Charters is Located in a small historic fishing village in Eastern St. Bernard Parish called Hopedale. After feeling the full brunt of Hurricane Katrina, Aug 29, 2005, Hopedale Louisiana was completely devastated on that day from twenty feet of tidal serge, but Capt. Charlie Thomason and his local top guide Capt. Shane Robin rebuilt the docking facility and Bayou Charters was the first charter fishing service back in business after the storm.

Nationally recognized as the Redfish Capital of the World, Hopedale’s marshes can offer hundreds of fish daily from Speckled Trout, Southern Flounder, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Triple Tale and of course Redfish. Being a brackish estuary it is not uncommon to catch Largemouth Bass, Blue Catfish and 100 lb Alligator Gars.

Fishing has totally recovered and the wildlife, waterfowl and local critters have repopulated Hopedale, Louisiana better and more plentiful then ever.

Come experience the best fishing that you will ever encounter and make some friends along the way.
